Bentley Pool House Rendering

Pools, what to say about pools? First, if you are going to have a pool, I hope they set you up with a nicely designed pool house like the Bentley Pool House.

I live in a resort community, with several pools, and you hardly see the pool being used. Personally, I haven’t used them. Growing up my parents installed a huge above ground pool, but nobody had the time to take care of it, so it didn’t last long. I guess pools are a luxury most people want, but once you have access to one, the novelty wears off.

What do you think? Pool or no pool?

2065-P Nick House Rendering

Great looking house! I love the stone, metal roof, and nearly everything about this home render. The brief was a Texas house, so I wanted to make it look a little like it was on a ranch.

123 N. ANITA Rendering

Here is a Compass rendering out of LA (Los Angeles). The home is almost done, but they wanted to get it listed before they could take photos. They wanted the house to look large, so I lowered the camera (photographer’s trick). The premise is you are looking higher than average, making the brain interpret what you are looking at as more significant than it is.

Old Gate Road Renderings

It is New Year’s Eve, and I am wrapping up a few pieces I wanted to share.

I am an architectural student dropout and have spent the past 30 years working in architecture as an architectural illustrator. I spent much of my free time doing street photography, mainly architecture. Here in San Diego, where I live, there are some great places like Balboa Park, which I go to often for architecture.

I am impressed with these homes; from proportions to scale, they are all excellent. Not your typical bland American architecture of the 21st Century. I have two more houses, one I will finish today. The final one, well, it’ll be done Monday.

Which home do you like best?

1602 Old Gate Lane Rendering

This home rendering is still going through the review process, but I thought I would share it early. I love this home design. Although the client commissioned me to do one view, I will do some vignettes when I get time. There are some neat features not shown in the view.
